Jet2.com and Lanzarote Airport celebrated the launch of the airline’s new base on the island. Jet2.com has announced that it will increase its seat offer and launch on 29 May the new route Blackpool-Lanzarote, operated initially with twice-weekly B737 frequencies. Ryanair’s ‘bargain bus’ was spotted in Manchester last week, as the carrier urged the passengers in the North West UK city to see the sights of Europe, while taking advantage of one of its 32 routes from the local airport.
Qatar Airways resumed 787 services between Doha and London Heathrow after the worldwide grounding of the aircraft in January. The Doha-based carrier was the first to launch Dreamliner flights to the UK in December, and the return to service means it remains the only airline to operate scheduled 787 flights to and from the United Kingdom. [And yes, that is the tailfin of a retired Concorde you can see on the right of the picture!
